In this section you will find information about the Boys U13s to U18s Schools of Rugby (SoR) and County set-up and Girls U15s and U18s for the 2009/10 season.
For boys rugby, U17s and above are qualified by calendar year and not school year. Therefore for the U17s programme in 2009/10 which starts in January 2010, the core of the squad is made up of 1993 birthdays, so those U16s born September to December plus the U17s born January to August. So anyone born in 1992 or earlier is ineligible. If they are good enough, the rest of this season's U16s (born Jan-August 1994 can trial if they have been nominated by their club or school. Schools of Rugby (SoR)
Calling all RFU Level 2 and above coaches who would like to contribute to SoR.
The vision for SoR is to develop and prepare young players to play for England and the broader English game, supported by an effective, well trained workforce of coaches and other personnel, delivered within a strong partnership of CB, club, schools and RFU Academies. This is an excellent opportunity for coaches to work with the best young players in the country, as well as working alongside other talented coaches in an environment geared towards excellence and achievement. Academy and RFU Staff will offer further training /CPD to all SoR coaches. We are looking for experienced RFU L2 coaches for our Schools of Rugby in the 2010/11 season and to get involved with our process this season.
