In the 12 weeks prior to the start of the season (site was launched 12th June 08), the monthly visits averaged 3,438.
In September to December 2008, the number of Visits totalled 29,080 and the number of Page Views reached 292,817. So visitors are looking at an average of 10 different pages every time they visit the website. This is a good indication as to how they value the content and of the range of useful information to them.
In January 2009, this website had 9,764 visits and 103,359 page views - an average of 10.58 page views per visit. The number of visits is up by over 2,000 compared to the previous highest month since the launch in June 2008.

The Visits average for the first 6 months (Apr-Sept 09) above was 5,606 and Page Views average was 113,017. This Berkshire website was launched on the 12th June 2008 and has evolved over the first 9 months as more content is added and more volunteers are trained to contribute to the site.
The vision is to become the rugby portal for Berkshire encompassing clubs, schools, county rugby, county club leagues, referees and the London Irish Academy.
The structure is simple. www.berksrfu.com is the main site and has a unique left hand side menu. In the top centre is the latest county article link.
At the bottom of the centre section are the latest stories from the five subsites covering the areas mentioned earlier. On the top tabs, you can access clubs, schools etc which each have their own unique left hand menus and sub menus. And each section has the latest articles in the right hand column (articles have Email a Friend functionality)
All our stakeholders are encouraged to submit articles, pictures and information to be included on the website. At the moment, please email everything to stevenjcullen@btinternet.com
The website has an efficient Search Engine (top left) and please use Contact Us with any comments and suggestions you may have. Each sector has its own picture galleries and we would welcome your rugby-related pictures. Pictures can also be included within articles.
