It was decided in December 2007 that Berkshire should reformulate the Berkshire Schools committee and also elect a Representative to sit on the English Schools Rugby Football Union (ESRFU). Since that date, the Berkshire Schools Union (BSU) has made a real difference in the school rugby opportunities available to all students from Year 3 upwards in both state and independent schools across the county. These opportunities are for both boys and girls.
The BSU Committee is headed by Richard Jones (Park House), Bill Voice (Reading Blue Coat) and Richard Pryor (Forest), supported by our RDO (Dan Whiteman), Tim Dancer (Sports Youth Trust) and a great deal of people within Berkshire Sport and the 8 School Sports Partnerships.
The 2008/9 Competitions structure for schools can be found in this part of the website under Competitions. Dan Whiteman (Berks RDO) and the schools committee, headed by Richard Jones, work with Berkshire Sport, schools and clubs to deliver the schedule. Also shown in the programme are the Daily Mail Cup dates for this U15s and U18s schools competition.
