Welcome to the Berkshire RFU and OBB Youth Leagues Berkshire Youth League 2009/10: The spreadsheet showing the U13s-U16s fixtures for 2009/10 can be found by clicking here. It also shows the number of home games per Sunday for each of the clubs - maximum of two. The individual programmes for the Berkshire Youth Leagues can be found on the Berkshire website, www.berksrfu.com , under County Youth or by clicking on the age group below for a direct link: Berkshire U13s Berkshire U14s Berkshire U15s Berkshire U16s We know for the next BYL season that we will have 8 clubs at U13s and 9 at U14s to U16s. The clubs voted 6 to 3 in favour of twod divisions and home and away fixtures. And the Berkshire RFU Executive recommended that this be the structure of the BYL for 2009/10 at a meeting on 7th April 2009. (i) There will be two divisions, Division 1 will have 4 teams and Division 2 will have 4 or 5. (ii) Home and away fixtures will be played. (iii) There will be a single play-off match between the bottom of Div 1 against the top of Div 2 in order to decide who goes into which division the following season (host venue to be decided on the toss of a coin by the league administrator). (iv) Seeding for U14s - U16s to be based on their BYL standings the previous season. The new U13s have been assessed on the information provided by the clubs on thier U12s performances. It is hoped that the practice of playing B fixtures alongside A League fixtures will continue. If the Division 1 clubs wish, we can create an official B League. It is also hope that Division 1 clubs will arrange A and/or B fixtures with Div 2 clubs. Steve Cullen 12th April 2009 The club logos scrolling above are in recognition of the victorious 2007/8 teams: Chinnor (winners of OBB 10s hosted at Windsor Rugby), Newbury (Colts), Reading Abbey (U17s), Redingensians (U16s), Newbury (U15s), Maidenhead (U14s) and Newbury (U13s). Click here to see how the website works for the leagues.
