Berkshire U20’s took an early lead in their game against Gloucestershire U20’s in what was to be astern test. They went in at half time 14-6 after two good tries and appeared to have thwarted the Glos attacks. Early in the second half Berkshire extended their lead and went into the final quarter of the match with a 24 – 20 lead.
However the Glos back row started to get up to speed and a strong run by their captain and No 8 Adam Hopkinson set up an attacking position within the Berks 10 metre line. The resultant score became the turning position as Glos scored twice in the final few minutes to take the lead and win the game 24-30.
