THATCHAM RFC
Thatcham have been recognised on the England RFU website for two of their members and showed once again with their members going above and beyond .
Will Sewell, former Chairman and the Henwick based clubs clubhouse Steward has been volunteering at the Newbury Racecourse vaccination centre, being awarded the Volunteer of the Week to boot!
Alexis, 8, raised money for the Minis section of the club by running and walking 50 miles over half term in rain, wind and not a lot of shine!
The club are especially proud of these two, and all our other members who have been helping out.
NEWBURY RFC
HEAD INJURY WEBINAR WITH DR SAM BARKE AND MARTIN PAICE, HOSTED BY PAUL ARCHER
Newbury have organised a “FREE” Head Injury Webinar 18th MARCH (8pm-9pm)and opened it up to ALL clubs across Berkshire for coaches, volunteers and age group players parents.

WINDSOR RFC
Windsor RFC continue to support the countrywide vaccination process that many of us have benefitted from already or will be called for in the coming wees/months. They have put a call out for more volunteers to help with the vaccination centre that is being run from Windsor Racecourse.
There are new dates being arranged this week for 16th, 17th and 18th. The timings the sessions will run from 0900 – 1200, 1200 – 1500 and 1500 to 1800.

RAMS RFC
SEVEN of Rams’ young stars were part of a virtual meeting organised by England Rugby’s Young Match Official (YMO) programme last week. With a total of 40 on the call, it means almost 20 per cent were affiliated with the club!
The programme encourages more young people aged 14-24 to get into officiating rugby, providing qualification opportunities in partnership with the RFU, allowing for the development of skills, experience and knowledge.
READING RFC
Reading have been setting club members, along with family and friends, a challenge to raise funds for the charity, Head for Change.
The challenge took place over the weekend of March 6 & 7.
VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH – As with most clubs they have also been recognising their volunteers of the month as during these times we all need them more than ever. For February is was Craig Hunter.
TADLEY TIGERS
Tadley are pleased to announce that Jamie Pretsell, one of their age grade coaches with the current U14 squad, has been appointed as a Judicial Panel Member for the Rugby Football Union and will hear disciplinary hearings involving both on and off-field conduct at Levels 1-5 of the game. Congratulations on the new role.

RECRUITMENT – They have just announced a new Commercial Director in Maryam House (Maz) . She has worked as a commercial and marketing director for over 7 years, working in IT communications industry and has been supporting Abbey for over 6 years. We wish her well in the role.

Maidenhead player George Blewitt and his girlfriend are are running/cycling/walking 200km to raise money for their friend who had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. #rugbyfamily

BRACKNELL RFC
HELP OUR CLUB – Bracknell have launched a “Help Our Club” crowdfunding. With the Impact of Covid 19 turning the sporting world upside down, They like many other clubs around the country need the help of their community to help keep them going.
With the help of their community, members, players and residents of Bracknell they are looking to access a scheme jointly launched by Sport England and Crowdfunder to raise £10,000 to enable them to get this essential work completed. This will also include other club essential maintenance finished by our amazing volunteer workforce.

Bracknell are continuing with their innovative ideas to gain some much needed additional funding for the club.
On Friday 4th June the club will be hosting The Greatest Showman in an outdoor Cinema Experience.
With the evening meeting social distancing as well as minimal contact it is sure to be a great night for all that attend, and what’s better if the weather on the day does change for the worse the event will not cancel but be moved so your ticket will still be valid!
