On Sunday there were several county youth squads with fixtures.
Berkshire Un17s
The Berkshire U17s played two fixtures the B’s played against Buckinghamshire A team and then the A team played against an East Midlands A team (who had a squad of 30 players). Both games were played in great spirit as the teams defences were brought into play.
Bucks eventually came through and pulled away to win 30-7 while the A team were unlucky not to win with East Midlands scoring with the last play of the match
Berkshire U17s next fixture will be a double header again this time against Dorset & Wiltshire on Sun 26th April 2020.
Berkshire Un15s
The Berkshire U15s had a double header fixture against Middlesex County. In what was a more even game than the score suggest the county B team were beaten 39-0 by a strong outfit. In the A string game this game went two an throw with Middlesex even hitting the post on a conversion when they took the lead with a few minutes to go to lead 20-25. Berkshire then came straight back on the attack from kickoff and scored with the try converted to win the game 27-25
Great games for those who were able to get along and for the first game for the Berkshire Un15s some good phases of play that will put them in good stead for their next fixture against Hampshire on Sun 15th March @ Maidenhead RFC.
Berkshire Un16s
Unfortunately the county U16 games were cancelled against Sussex due to the weather.
