We thought we would look back and reflect on other occasions in history when rugby was suspended.
On March 4, 1933 Old Redingensians (now Rams RFC) played their first match for six weeks at Emmer Green (more on their former ground in a future flashback) after the lifting of a six-week restriction because of a foot-and-mouth outbreak. Facing the sun and wind in the first half, they trailed 4-0 against Chartered Bank but rallied to win 20-4 thanks to a try hat-trick from Carson.
