Berkshire RFU continues to support youth players throughout the county to enable players to find clubs. Berkshire is proud to have eleven of its clubs with active youth sections with over 2500 players representing their clubs at weekends. The opportunity is for both boys and girls and ranges in age from U6 all the way through to U18.
Attracting new players to clubs is only part of the story. In order to retain these players, the clubs ensure that their infrastructure in terms of coaches and volunteers and facilities (clubhouse and pitches) are capable of providing an enjoyable and positive experience for all of their players.
Berkshire RFU is pleased to support both Youth (boys and girls), mixed ability and wheelchair rugby within its clubs across the county.
PROSPECTIVE NEW PLAYERS
If you are interested in taking up the sport then have your parent/guardian simply make contact with their local club and they will be assured of a warm welcome by all our clubs’ youth sections.
For ease, please see the list of clubs below with direct links to their websites. Should you for any reason struggle to get through, please drop a line to Mark Pett-Ridge, Berkshire RFU Youth and Competitions Chair who will endeavour to put you in touch directly with the club of your choice. mpettridge@aol.com
