Berkshire RFU Head Coach Job Description
Job Title: Head Coach u17s & u18s Boys Programme. Responsible to: Berkshire RFC Youth Chair.
Person Specification:
- The candidate to hold a minimum level two RFU coaching award or equivalent teaching or coaching qualification.
- That the candidate has experience of coaching at club, university or school level.
- To hold a current DBS certificate.
- Should ideally possess an RFU First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
- Will have completed a Safeguarding Play it Safe course.

- Can develop short, medium- and long-term periodised plans for player and coach development.

- Ability to look ahead to develop and maintain clear outcome-based plans for achieving objectives.

- Ability to develop and nurture collaborative, effective and productive working relationships.
- Upholds RFU values.
Key Tasks
- Manage the delivery of the CB playing programme including match and training preparation.
- Ensure the County’s objectives are achieved by enabling a player centred, unbiased programme for players.
- Is responsible for squad and match selection.
- Is responsible for the planning of all training sessions.
- Creates concise objectives and goals for the team, units and individual players.
- Creates a culture of support, positivity and development.
- Works with the Berkshire CRFU in the appointment of their coaching and management team.
- Support coach development.
- Is clearly committed to attend all assessment sessions, training and matches relevant to the age group.
