PLAYER PAYMENTS

Following the RFU Council decision and because of the effect of Covid-19, the requirement to provide a Payment of Player declaration as per Regulation 7 has been removed for season 2020/21. This will mean that all clubs will be eligible for RFU benefits for season 2021/22, with a requirement to complete the declaration again from March 2022.

AGE GRADE PLAYING CALENDAR 2021-22

.A week ago, Friday saw the launch of the Age Grade Playing calendar. This was a little later than anticipated due to Covid-19 and the recent lockdowns.

This is now with CBs, CSUs, Academies, Centres of Excellence, RPPGs and other local stakeholders to populate their local programmes together. They will share calendars with clubs, schools and colleges and publish on their websites as soon as they can.

IRWIN MITCHELL MENTORING PROGRAME

Retaining young players has never been more critical with the impact of the pandemic on grassroots participation. Working with our official legal partner, Irwin Mitchell, we’re excited to announce the Irwin Mitchell Mentoring Club launch. Together, we’ll share advice and provide guidance on how you can engage and retain your adolescent players to keep them in the sport for longer. Join ambassadors Dylan Hartley & Sarah Hunter in our club today.
