Ealing Trailfinders outline ambitions to become a ‘world class hub’ for female players
The club have secured investment for a leading women’s programme to run alongside the current men’s one.
Ealing Trailfinders has outlined its ambitions to become a “world class hub” for female players after securing a long-term investment to fund its very first women and girls’ programme.
The initiative will be run in conjunction with The Henley College and Brunel University, both of which have been partners of the men’s championship club in recent seasons.
In a sign underlining Ealing’s ambitions to one day press for representation in the Premier 15s, the country’s top women’s rugby tier, the club will launch its girls’ programme this September, alongside its long-established men’s one.
In their continued commitment to supporting Girls’ Rugby, Ealing Trailfinders and The Henley College are delighted to announce a new and significant scholarship fund for their recently launched Girls’ Elite Rugby Programme.
The College works students’ timetables around their sports choices and offers an exceptionally wide range of A-levels and vocational diplomas (BTEC) to interest all students. The College has high levels of progression to university, higher apprenticeships and into employment, and is above the national average for sixth form colleges in England and Wales.
Henley College are also offering to provide some guest sessions for schools and clubs to give you a taste of what to expect.
